Angelique obtained a BEd in Education and a BEd Honors degree in Learning Support through the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Additionally, she has a master’s degree in Applied Psychology through Middlesex University and will soon graduate with a UK Level 7 CCET and JCQ Access Arrangement Qualification. She has been working as a learning support practitioner and specialist in the UAE since 2015, and prior to that she was a part time tutor and taught university students. Angelique specializes in reading, writing, spelling, numeracy intervention, and social and emotional development support. She enjoys supporting children of all ages and believes that play based learning and multisensory teaching strategies are essential to children achieving their full potential.

Angelique has experience working with a wide range of students such as those who are gifted and talented and she will always aim to help them achieve even more within the area that they excel in. Furthermore, she has experience in supporting children with learning difficulties and barriers to learning including hearing and visual difficulties, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, attention deficit disorders, autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome, developmental delay and speech and language disorders.

During her time in the UAE, she has developed a strong collaborative relationship with many experts in related fields such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, ABA therapists, pediatricians and audiologists who have greatly contributed to her knowledge and experience. Angelique also enjoys supporting parents through parent workshops and parent group discussions.
