Learning Support Assistant
Hasna Mangilen Guiapal obtained a degree in Science with a major in History at Mindanao State University, General Santos City, in the Philippines. Additionally, she has certificates in International Computer Driving License (ICDL), and Basic Accounting Course Level I. She has also been working on developing her knowledge and skills within special education and will be obtaining a certificate in Special Education Needs and Disability. Hasna has been working at Ajyal International School Al Falah for three years and has recently been promoted to Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
Hasna’s passion for teaching has allowed her to gain knowledge and a wealth of experiences which resulted in her becoming a dedicated teacher who is willing and able to support children with various learning needs. Furthermore, she feels that specific discernment is required to interact and encourage students with mental and physical barriers and strives to ensure that no child is left behind. She aims to help students of determination focus, communicate, participate in class, socialize, control their behavior and learn independence.
Hasna can speak Arabic well but is still learning and developing her language skills to becoming a proficient speaker. Hasna believes that a balanced lifestyle contributes greatly to both mental and physical development. She enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors and takes part in activities like hiking, trekking, and paddleboarding. She also likes to play sports like volleyball, basketball, swimming and running. Apart from her love for outdoor activities, Hasna has never been complacent with what she has achieved. She feels that compassion, combined with proper training, continued education and professional development are key to ensuring future success as a SEN specialist that is why she considers herself a life long learner.
